Here is a list of my favourite blogging + business resources that help me manage and grow my blog!

Web hosting

The most basic part about starting your blog is which hosting service you choose to go with. Honestly, for smaller bloggers + websites it will come down to 2 main things: price and service.

GreenGeeks
GreenGeeks is the hosting platform I currently use on this site. I’ve found them to have absolutely AMAZING customer service and when you factor in the price, I was really happy choosing them. GreenGeeks has a special hosting package for WordPress sites where you can get hosting (with a free domain) and 1-click WordPress install.

Bluehost
Bluehost is a really popular hosting platform for a ton of bloggers. They have an amazing price. You can get your new blog up and running for only $3.95/month!

Themes

You don’t HAVE to use a WordPress theme when you start blogging, but it can make a huge difference to your brand and overall design. I went rogue for a few years using only free WordPress themes, but I recently bought a blogging theme I’m absolutely IN LOVE with!

Bluchic
Beautiful, polished, and responsive WordPress themes! On this site (Mint Glow), I’m using the Maggie theme from Bluchic and I am SO glad I bought it. All the themes are super easy to download and very simple to use. If you have any issues, they offer great documentation and support.

Beautiful Dawn Designs
I discovered Beautiful Dawn a few years ago and fell in love with the themes. The designs are simple, clean, and beautiful. I also love that when you buy a theme, there is an option to have it set up for you to look just like the demo!

Web design + graphics

Even if you have a fabulous theme, you’ll still be dabbling in design for all your web graphics and social media posts as you grow your blog.

Bluchic
In addition to gorgeous themes, Bluchic also offers social media templates for all your posts! This is a HUGE asset to bloggers and will help you brand your Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest posts for a beautiful, consistent look.

Canva
Canva is an absolutely fantastic tool to help you create everything from graphics and social media posts, to documents and eBooks. Best of all- it’s FREE!

Social media + automation tools

I’ve found automation tools are absolutely essential for growing my blog and business! I don’t know where I would be without the help of my tools working for me 24/7.

Tailwind
Tailwind is a dream come true for Pinterest automation! You can schedule all your pins days, weeks or even months in advance. You can schedule an unlimited number of pins and keep track of your followers and repins so you know exactly how your account is doing. Tailwind has also just introduced Instagram scheduling which is an added bonus! Grab your FREE month here!!

Mailerlite
I’ve tried a few different e-mail services for subscribers and I ended up sticking with Mailerlite. You can create professional looking email campaigns quickly with a simple drag-and-drop editor. They also have a great selection of forms and landing pages to grow your list. My favourite part about Mailerlite is that it’s FREE for up to 1000 subscribers.
